Artificial Intelligence fertility startup Life Whisperer has been crowned APAC Global Winner of the ‘Best Idea – One to Watch’ category in the 2017 Talent Unleashed Awards. Life Whisperer was recognised as a high calibre, high potential early stage business by the Awards Program’s Regional and Global Judging Panel – including tech superstars Sir Richard Branson and Steve Wozniak
Life Whisperer Founder Dr Jonathan Hall, co-founder and inventor, pitched at the APAC Grand Final event in Melbourne, Australia on December 7th, where Steve Wozniak was one of the judges.
The prize for winning the award includes a trip to Silicon Valley for Dr Hall to visit tech giants like Google, Facebook, Tesla, Airbnb, and Linkedin, as well as a private lunch with Steve Wozniak.
Dr Hall said “We are honored to have been awarded the Global Winner, particularly being recognized by world leading entrepreneurs like Sir Richard Branson and Steve Wozniak.”
Life Whisperer applies non-invasive AI-driven image analysis, including deep learning and computer vision, to conduct morphological assessment of embryos to assist in the selection of viable embryos for IVF implantation. The technology aims to improve successful outcomes for IVF couples, which currently have low success rates. The scalable web-based tool can be utilized by IVF clinics globally.
Retrospective trials conducted with Life Whisperer’s commercial partner Monash IVF have already shown a high level of accuracy in identifying viable embryos, which is critical for a successful IVF outcome for patients.
Life Whisperer will be launching its product to market in the first half of 2018, with the aim of helping improve IVF success rates around the world, and making IVF more affordable and accessible for infertile couples wanting to have children.
