Life Whisperer wins a Chinese Innovation Award in Sydney, Opening the Door to the Chinese Market
Artificial Intelligence company Life Whisperer has been awarded second prize in The Second China (Shenzhen) Innovation & Entrepreneurship International Competition in Sydney, which included approximately US$8000 in prize money. Life Whisperer is now heading to Shenzhen in April for the finals to compete with innovations and startups from around the globe, with RMB 10.91 million (US$1.7M) in prize money, and a venture capital pool of RMB 20.9 billion (US$3.3B) set up by 34 investment institutions to assist outstanding projects.
The competition aims to gather global high-end talent and quality projects, integrate innovative entrepreneurial resources, and help Shenzhen build international science and technology capabilities. Out of the 99 projects participating in the finals last year, 65 projects have reached initial co-operation with various parks in Shenzhen, and 11 have officially settled in Shenzhen. The competition is an excellent opportunity for international elites to get the financial support from the tech companies and the benefits of the Shenzhen municipal people’s government.
Life Whisperer applies AI to IVF with the aim of improving success rates for couples wanting to have children. Recently Life Whisperer demonstrated that its AI performs significantly better than world-leading embryologists when identifying viable embryos from medical images – a critical pregnancy success factor for couples undergoing IVF.

Life Whisperer is a non-invasive, scalable and secure web-based tool that can be utilized by IVF clinics globally. Clinicians can simply “drag and drop” patient embryo images taken from a standard microscope and receive an instant report as to the embryo viability to inform their decision of which embryo to implant into the patient. Life Whisperer plans to launch the product in the second half of 2018 and now has a call-out for partners globally. Life Whisperer is seeking clinics with embryo image data, including pregnancy outcomes, to contribute to its AI and to become part of the first round of clinics to provide this technology to their patients when it is released.
