Artificial Intelligence fertility startup Life Whisperer has been named 2017 Finalist for the ‘Best Idea – One to Watch’ category in the global 2017 Talent Unleashed Awards. Life Whisperer has been recognised as a high calibre, high potential early stage business by the Awards Program’s Regional and Global Judging Panel – including tech superstars Sir Richard Branson and Steve Wozniak.
Life Whisperer will now be attending the APAC Grand Final event in Melbourne, Australia on December 7th, where they will be invited on stage to pitch live to the 250+ audience and the Judging Panel – which includes Steve Wozniak – for a chance to be named a Global Grand Prize Winner.
Life Whisperer applies non-invasive AI-driven image analysis, including deep learning and computer vision, to conduct morphological assessment of embryos to assist in the selection of viable embryos for IVF implantation. The technology aims to improve successful outcomes for IVF couples, which currently have low success rates. The scalable web-based tool can be utilized by IVF clinics globally.
Life Whisperer’s co-founder Dr Michelle Perugini said “We are delighted to have been named a 2017 Talent Unleashed Awards Finalist. Our application was chosen as one of the top three across APAC – amongst hundreds of applications. And to be recognized by world leading entrepreneurs like Sir Richard Branson and Steve Wozniak is surreal.”
Co-founder and inventor of the technology Dr Jonathan Hall said “I’m excited to pitch live in front of the APAC Judges, including Steve Wozniak, at the Grand Final in Melbourne in December. This exposure and support is invaluable, in the hope that we can have a positive impact on families undergoing IVF in the near future.”
